Our Crew
Welcome to the Circa Crew homepage, and what a motley crew we are. With high staff turn over in the marine and hospitality industry it’s a testament to the family atmosphere within the company that we have been together for so long. As any of the crew would tell you, its great fun working for Circa, and we hope that shows when we take you out for a cruise!
We have added some personal questions so you can get to know us a little better. Stranded at sea we would have a bottle of red wine, bottle of white, Jess’s photo’s, a knife and a boat.that says more about our crew than I can explain. We hope you enjoy!
Michael Cass
Our colourful owner and Captain of Circa Luxury Cruises formed the company back in 1998 with the aim of providing a truly five star service to its clients. He has since seen Circa grow in to the Gold Coast’s flag ship Luxury Commercial Vessel. A tennis enthusiast originally from Melbourne, Michael has always been a keen traveller, crystal collector, local lobbyist and Master diver. His business experience in the Gold Coast tourism industry also make Michael a great knowledge on local affairs, so you will never be short of conversation when he’s at the helm.

John Wells
The Master onboard Circa Spirit who makes up the experienced element of the Circa Crew. John has been a Master on the Gold Coast Broadwater for over 20 years. Having previously worked onboard the Royal Pines Princess for over a decade. John too is a keen traveller, he spent a lot of his younger years in PPNG and aboard sea fairing ships, but his real passion lies in surfing!

The one personal item you will take with you if you happen to be stranded at sea? His Knife. (Johns knife is apparently a personal item!?!?)

Abe Tadashi
Abe, the quiet assassin, (whose skill with a knife goes above and beyond slicing sushi) is our full time master chef aboard Circa Spirit. He grew up in Kobe, Japan and worked for his family’s own restaurant before making the leap to Australia. He has worked in several prestigious kitchens here on the coast including the Hatsuhana Japanese Restaurant located within the Nara International Resort. Abe too is a keen surfer and family man, and enjoys nothing more than a BBQ with the kids after fishing.

Hiroko Cass
Hiroko, our Japanese bullet train, is Michael’s endearing wife. Having worked for over 5 years for JTB Weddings, she has both experience and a passion for providing quality service to all our clients. She also has a keen eye for detail so mind your spelling mistakes on emails. She grew up in Nagoya, Japan, but has spend the last 20 years here in Australia, but loves to visit home whenever possible (oh and fiji!)

Letitia Stringer
Letitia is our highly personable energised Events Co-Ordinator onboard with a multitude of experience both internationally and within Australia. Letitia spent the last 20 years working with many high profile clients organising their corporate functions throughout Europe and Australia. Letitia is a keen snow boarder and Foodie. Her real passion is her Family and Friends.
